This year, the team returns with a strong core of players and coaches who have been integral to their success. Notably, they welcome back the three-time Coach of the Year, Jeremy Davison, who is in his 18th year of coaching and his 13th year at the helm of the Lamar squad. Alongside him are the district 18-6A Goalkeeper of the Year Diego Compean, Jr., a First Team All-District selection, and the Best Offensive Player of the Year Camille Llorca, Jr., also a First Team All-District pick. Both have been pivotal in the team's previous successes. Additionally, Lamar brings back three other First Team All-District selections: senior center back Ian Voung, senior midfielder Cash Reese, and senior fullback Diego Montelongo. December 13, 2024 (Friday): Lamar hosts Aldine Eisenhower in their first scrimmage of the season, starting at 4:30 PM. This will be a great opportunity for the program to fine-tune their tactics and test their fitness.
December 17, 2024 (Tuesday): The program will face Klein Forest at home, also at 4:30 PM, for their second scrimmage. This match will serve as another key preparation ahead of the competitive season.
December 20, 2024 (Friday): The Texans will travel to Clear Falls High School for a scrimmage at 4:30 PM. Playing away will provide the program with valuable experience in different conditions.

January 2-4, 2025: Lamar will compete in the MOJO Tournament, held at KISD. This three-day event will be crucial for assessing their readiness for the challenges ahead.
